That’s why the former presidential candidate’s associates are urging human rights organizations and all people of good will to step up pressure on authorities to ensure that Kazulin is released as soon as possible,” Mr. Rynkevich said.

He was asked several years ago to become as a resident minister of the Republic of Belarus in the United Nations Organization. Later this appointment was cancelled because of A. Kazulin free-thinking. After Professor A. Kazulin gave a dare to Belarusian State-ruler and took an active part in Presidential elections on March, 25 2006 he was arrested. On July, 13 2006 ex-candidate for Presidency in Belarus, Chairman of the Belarusian social-democratic Party (Hramada) was put into prison for 5 years 6 months.

DECLARATION OF THE FORMER PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE ALEXANDER KOZULIN: “LUKASHENKA MUST FACE AN INTERNATIONAL TRIBUNAL

It is with a profound feeling of responsibility for the future of our country that I turn to you with this Declaration today, on September 20, 2006. I am confident that it is today when the Belarusian citizens must establish and declare to the world their resolute position to bring the Republic of Belarus back into the constitutional boundaries. After the so called presidential elections in spring this year, we have crossed that Rubicon, behind which are only lies, fear and lawlessness. Today we are ready for most decisive actions that will lead us to the victory of freedom, justice and democracy.

LETTER BY ALEXANDER KOZULIN: I ONCE AGAIN WARN ABOUT THE TREAT OF LUKASHISM TO THE WORLD

                                    Citizens of my beloved Belarus!
I am speaking to you from prison, with the last word that I was going to say in the district court of Minsk. You know that I was denied this legal right to speak to you before sentencing. But it is impossible to silence a free man. The prosecutor and the judge were afraid to let me speak the truth, to allow me to publicly accuse the prosecution and the whole evil system that employs them. In the end, the judge even forced the attendees of the process out of the room, just like Lukashenka, who is afraid of the people. This is why they are doing illegal acts behind our backs – judging and sentencing “on behalf of the Republic of Belarus.” But I am responsible only to God and you – Belarusian citizens. You will judge how legal were my actions, and how consistent I was in my service to people.
